The Western Business Roundtable is led by Executive Director Jim Sims, a 20+ year veteran of politics and issue advocacy at the state and federal levels. Jim served in the White House in 2001 as President George W. Bush's Director of Communications for the National Energy Policy Development Group, which helped to craft the recommendations behind the President's National Energy Policy. He also is a 12-year veteran of senior staff positions in the U.S. Senate, including serving as Chief of Staff to former Senate Robert W. Kasten, Jr.

President of Government Affairs. She is based in Washington D.C. and provides
government liaison and related tasks on behalf of Washington Group and its six business units.

Mrs. Stinger has more than 20 years of experience in government and regulatory affairs
and a keen understanding of public-policy issues.

Mr. Johnson has more than 35 years experience working within the natural resource field. He specializes in legislative and regulatory strategy and government affairs. His work focuses on public land and natural resource management, western water quality and quantity issues, western water issues, nuclear waste issues, federal and state mining issues, and federal energy issues. He also is an expert in the federal appropriations process.
